What a pain in the butt!

Really, it hasn’t been a pain in the butt. I’ve been sore a couple of times so far, but not nearly as bad as I know I’ll be getting soon. This is my first post of what will hopefully be a blog full of successes, though I know there’ll be some failures along the way. I’m OK with that.

I wouldn’t consider myself an over-weight man, but I definitely don’t like where and how it’s sitting. I figure that I’ll get some support from the world of the unknown people of the internet and hopefully they can help trim me down. I’ve got my membership at the gym already, and have been going about twice a week for the last 3 weeks…it hasn’t really helped much yet. That’s what made me decide I need some help!

You can help me out. Encourage me, trash me, just tell me to get going. I won’t be sitting around doing nothing anymore. I was recently called “husky” (is that a polite way of saying fat?) and I’m fine with it. It was a good friend that called me that, so I listened to her. I was already trying to drop the pounds before she mentioned it, so I can’t blame her or thank her. She just said what she wanted to say.

I’m not really sure what I’m looking for, though nutrition I think plays a large part. I did the South Beach Diet a few years ago with great success. Dropped about 30 pounds and managed to keep about 20 of it off for about 18 months…then about 15 of it snuck back! I need to drop the inches really. I’m not concerned about my weight, though I know it’s high. The site will change in appearance in the next few days I hope. It will show my current weight, loss/gain as well as current body fat, loss/gain. That’s purely cosmetic. It’s a small part of the big picture.

Something needs to be done, and the only way it will get done is if I do something about it. So, that being said, today I’m telling the world that something will get done about it…and I have to prove it to you!
